my first review was in 2020 but now I'm updating my review. it always used to work good but for some reason it's acting up. it doesn't let me log in. and when I do it says can't connect to my router. it tells me to check my router status. but it's fine. I was watching Hulu and my daughter was playing Xbox. the router was fine. but the app didn't want to connect. when I was finally able to connect to it, I tried to connect to the extender I have linked to it. it doesn't want to connect to that.

Nighthawk routers (when working) are excellent. But if you're using this app to change any settings, God have mercy on your soul, and good luck. This app will not/cannot change settings. The router is Unresponsive, inconsistent, and shows inaccurate information. If this is the best net gear has to offer.... Might be time to change routers.

This app is intended for dummies only. No advanced network settings. Only bare-minimum options available. They can't give you hardware settings, but they can sure fit in the useless security subscription upsells! Plus every change requires a restart and re-signin to their linked account service, causing every change to be done one at a time and taking 5 minutes each change. Use this for initial setup if you must, but look elsewhere for admin settings after that. App is a polished turd.
